Fueling on a Budget

Fueling your body on a budget!

Navigating the aisles of the grocery store can often feel overwhelming, especially when faced with the challenge of fueling your body's nutritional needs on a tight budget. We are here to help guide through grocery budgeting!

In the world of Costco’s and online grocery ordering, there are now more ways to save than we realize.

See below some tips to help guide you!

1. Choose seasonal produce when fresh. Seasonal fruits and vegetables are often cheaper and fresher than their out-of-season counterparts. If not in season, frozen can be a great option for produce to keep it more affordable.

2. Make a list/plan. Plan your meals for the week and make a shopping list accordingly. This helps you avoid impulse purchases and ensures you only buy what you need. Want some guidance? We have a weekly meal plan template that can help you bridge this gap. Reply HERE with PLAN for us to send you one!

3. Be flexible with brands. Don't be afraid to try different brands or store brands for staple items. You might find a more affordable option that suits your tastes just as well.

4. Shop for groceries online. Kroger is a great resource for this because as you shop online, you can see what things have coupons or are on sale. You’re no longer picking up random items from the shelves that look good, you’re sticking to your list and not racking up a huge bill on unnecessary items.

5. Buy in bulk! Oh hey Costco and Sam lovers. Some foods are significantly cheaper when

purchased in bulk. So when it makes sense, buy in large quantities and freeze what you don’t need right now. This can apply to bread, meat, cheese and more.

Fueling your body doesn’t have to break the budget and also this list is not exhaustive of all the ways you can save. Being mindful of food availability is one of the biggest things we look at. Happy to help or answer further questions as needed; let us know!
